Affiliate disclosure

Heat & Timber is paid for by affiliate commissions. When a shop runs an affiliate programme and has accepted us, a link to that shop can carry a tracking code; if you buy after clicking it, the shop pays us a commission. The price you pay is the same.

How affiliate links are marked

Every affiliate link carries the label Ad right next to it and is marked for search engines as sponsored. Links without the label are plain links: we earn nothing from them.

At the moment no shop has accepted us yet, so no link on this site is an affiliate link.

What commissions do not change

• The finders sort by your answers and by price, never by commission.
• We show shops we earn nothing from as well, when they list a product that fits.
• Nobody pays for placement, and no shop sees or approves our pages before they go online.

Rules we follow: the US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides and, in the UK, the ASA and CAP guidance on affiliate marketing (affiliate content must be obviously identifiable).
